I dont know if it supposed todo this with my P4 2.6

hey,

I got an P4 2.6 HT and when I toke out my P4 2.0 GHz and changed my bios around. then when I checked to see what it said in my system and it said Pentium 4 2.6 HT then right below it it said 1.3 GHz. so what is my prosessor underclocked at 1.3 GHz? becuz I never even toughched the settings yet. Or is it supposed to be like that.

And another thing my computer does NOT seem faster at all.

Your 2.6C is designed to run on a 200MHz FSB. You're running it on a 100MHz FSB if you are getting results of 1.3GHz. You'll need to make the appropriate changes within BIOS.

yea hes right, inside ur bios u need to have ur fsb at 400 .i dont know why its 400 but thats the way asus has it down, having ur fsb at 400 will also set ur dual chan ddr to 1:1 settings with ur cpu (cpu=800fsb ram=800fsb)
