  • Memory Timings

Well since i can't overclock with the intel board, except for 4% increase, i am trying to change the memory timings. Corsair 2x256 XMS-3200LL default is 2-3-2-6, which i changed to 2-3-2-5.
I can not change the 3 into a 2 because it does not start when i set it to 2-2-2-5. In the bios there is a thing called CPC, should i disable or enable or leave it at auto?

    -Thanks

Lol, i am using corsair xms3200LL (2-3-2-6). Currently running at 2-3-2-5, it wont go to 2-2-2-5. CPC should be under advance and chipset. What intel thing are you talking about that allows you to overclock? Give me link please!

That ram is CH5 so it wont run ras-to-cas 2 on an Intel rig. The best you can do is 2-3-2-6 (use 6 instead of 5).

But it runs fine on 2-3-2-5, so 2-3-2-6 is better?

In theory. Of course we're talking 0.01% difference at best :)

Usually 6 will be more stable than 5. In my rigs it has been anyway.

For me either one is stable :)

My CH-5 does 2-3-2-6, and theres no difference in benchmark scores between it and 2-3-2-5

Yea, i know, but lower numbers make me tingle.
