ey people! I have a prob with my acer 52x cdrom. It wont read anymore. I research about this drive and found out that acer drives are crappy. now, what will I do with this drive now??? I'm ready to throw this to a garbage can!
Reseat your IDE cables, make sure the Molex's are plugged in securely. You couldgo out and buy a cleaning kit for them and see if it helps as well.
Worst to happen, is you'll need a new CD-ROM, but they're dirt cheap so it wont be bad.
