Help!! Installed my new mobo...

Hi all,

I replaced my old chaintech motherboard with my new A7VNX-X motherboard and although my system detects all its devices, after the boot.ini stage and windows starts loading the computer just restarts itselft. And so on and so forth in a loop

My work mate reckons its a memory problem! I had a couple of Samsung 256 DDR333's and a 512mb DDR333 of unknown origin :?:

So im currently without a computer which sucks :tears:
Can anyone shed some light on the problem please?: peace:

No i didnt touch Windows! I just did a "simple" mobo swap...........................

no such thing as a "simple" mobo swap.

You have to reinstall windows on a mobo swap, or the Computer Fairy will come and steal you megahertz while you're asleep :)

Ya must reinstall Windows with a mobo swap as atm Windows still thinks that its still workin' with the old mobo and this is where ya probs are comin' from.

I thought as much, but my collegue told me different. I know the current windows HAL will have the wrong information thus the problems.

Thing is, i tried to boot of my "dodgy" copy of XP, and it just didnt wanna boot into setup
Any ideas?
