argh crazy email problems

firstly, i dunno what section or even forum to put this in. if anyone knows a good virus forum then lemme know.

a couple minutes ago i just started getting loads of messages from norton anti virus saying it was checking sent emails for viruses, keeps poping up tiny little email scan messages, about 300 so far. with most of them it brings up the warnings you can see.

i've scaned the comp with spybot/adaware/norton/ and this http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger and it's all clean. firewall's enabled. any ideas whats going on and how i can stop it? i figure something's hijacked the comp to send out spam or something.

I've had the problem before, where it would start sending out hundreds of rapid fire emails to any Yahoo address it thinks exists.

No virus program could clean it, nor could any spyware program. The problem disappeared when I reformatted my computer (but then that will fix any problem)
