Hey all,
I'm havin a hell of a time OCing my Athlon XP 2000. I only upped the FSB to 140 and ran it at 6:5 so the memory clock was a little under 133. I left the multi at 12.5 and the voltage at 1.7. When I started up the computer, it didn't post.
OK, I found out that NFroce 2 boards suffer a performance hit when u run async. So it looks like I'm gonna have to get some faster RAM to keep up with the higher fsb if i wanna see any results. If I up the FSB to like 145 it keeps the memory at 133 with the 6:5 ratio.... Maybe I should just up the multiplier and leave the FSB and ratio the same? What's a good number to shoot for with the multi? As for cooling, does anyone have any experience with the Vantec Aeroflow HSFs?
mobo: MSI K7N2 Delta L
chipset: NVidia NForce 2 Ultra 400.
cpu: amd althon xp 2000 w/stock cooling
ram: 512mb corsair valueram pc2100
