FOLED? Sounds cool.

I recently read an article talking about a new display technology called OLED. The flexible version of it, FOLED, sounded very cool. Does anyone have any idea when they'll be coming out for purchase by the general public. I've searched everywhere and I can't seem to find a definite answer.

short answer not soon.
longer answer, the technology needs to mature to the point it will be adopted for mass production. having seen some videos of the stuff working its kinda there, but its not in the stage of cost-reducing to make it viable and sell-able. once its ready to roll it has to be adopted by a company who is going to spend the moola to convert their factory to make the display tech and pump it out. will proabably first show up in embedded devices like mp3 players and mobile phones just as with OLEDs and ePaper displays.
