  • Partitioning a HDD with Win 98 CD

I just bought a new HDD 20GB that needs to be partitioned, I have a Win 98 CD that's bootable never used a diskette my old Hdd I just buried. The problem is I forgot how to partition the drive, it's been awhile. I forgot the procedure on partitioning a HDD.I'd like to seperate it into two volumes C-D 10-10 or just one drive would be fine also. My brain went to sleep on me because I have'nt done anything with the comps. My own fault. Sure could use some help!

If the Win98 CD is bootable, then you should be able to boot into DOS mode (or Windows' rendition of this mode). From there you'll want to work with fdisk. If you have forgotten the commands you just need to type fdisk /? or help fdisk depending on the gae of the install disk.
