  • Newegg comp help.

My first time at this computer buying thing and i have no idea what im doing. Im from U.S. and need a comp. for gaming, web, and h.w. I need to stay around $1000, and i need EVERYTHING(moniter, O.S., sound card, keboard, ect.). I dont really know what overclocking is, but i dont think im gonna do it, sence im not really into this stuff yet. It would be nice if some one could send me exactly what I need, or better yet a shopping cart, sence i have no clue were to get this stuff.

Since your new to this you may want to read a PC building guide. Her eis a great one:
    http://www.omnicast.net/~tmcfadden/g...ild/index.html

Check out this guide for reccomended parts:
    http://www.anandtech.com/guides/showdoc.aspx?i=2282&p=1

You can choose exactly what you want by using the different setups they have chosen. You don't have to pick everything from the list that is around your budget. I do suggest getting at least a 3000+ socket 939.

You can also find all the products on http://newegg.com

After you ahve chosen your parts here for us to look over. You will learn more by actually researching the products yourself.

Not a bad idea, what you're doing with this user, but personally I disagree with a lot of that stuff in that AT guide. It really seems to expect the majority of users to even want some of the extras, such as a $75 case and PSU that can be adequately replaced for under $70 with shipping. And don't forget 5.1 speakers...

That is why I said pick the parts you need from different lists. In just about any guide like that you can't expect it to be exactly what the particular user needs. For example one user may only need a 80GB hard drive when one may need a 200GB. And I only suggested that guide as a starting point.
