New Dell 17" LCD has Problem

Purchased New Dell Dimension 8400 got the 17" lcd upgrade. First monitor had blurry spots. They sent me a new refurbished monitor (why refurbished when the computer is only 2 weeks old, don't know). I have a different problem with this monitor, the colors are all washed out. Checked with a friend who has same monitor and video card (Radeon x300) but no problem. All of my settings are the same. Could I have gotten a lemon the second time around?

It is always possible. If you bought the machine new then insist on a NEW monitor to replace the messed up one. You bought new, not refurb. If you are persistent in this they don't have much choice but to do as you request.
