is it my pc or my monitor that is stuck in safe mode. the only screens that i see are when it says starting windows 95 then it goes to the mode screen. Next, after the count down it goes to scan disk and goes right back to the safe mode screen and that is as far as i get. then i see the windows 95 screen as though it is going to go to my desktop but it does not move anymore it just sets there. Can you help me please?

It could be any number of things, but the first thing I would check out is the hard drive since your Windows tries to do a checkdisk function. It is also possible that it is time to reformat the drive and reinstall Win95 if it has been a while since you last did it.
