help!!!!!

ok, when i start up windows, the taskbar at the bottom is blue and i cant click any of the desktop icons and when i put the cursor over an icon, the little hourglass thing pops up and i donno how to fix it! can anyone help??

have you tried shutting down unneeded programs running in the background of Windows? I'm guessing there is something trying to start itself that should not be. Maybe spyware or a virus or a bunch of programs are hogging your system resourses and Windows is freezing up on you.
