  • Overclocking Noob

    Kinda new to it- just wanted some suggestions with my rig

    AMD 64 2800+ New Castle
    ATI 9800 Pro 128
    2x512 pc3200 (generic I think)
    400 p/s
    Stock Fan
    ASUS K8N Motherboard

    Any suggestions appreciated!

    PSU can't possibly handle it. If that weren't a socket 754 system, you'd probably have stability problems already.

        Yeah, 500W is good. Maybe a little too much, but somewhere in that area. Make sure it's a good brand, such as Antec, Fortron, OCZ, or Enermax.

            See my posts in other threads in the Overclocking section. The process has been gone over several times. Just remember that what you're doing voids your CPU warranty and could possibly damage your hardware.
