  • Should i or should i not?

    Hey, all i am new to this forums, And i have been wanting to upgrade to amd 64 for a while now but i am on a very tight budget like 150.00$. I want to now wat ya think of this setup. motherboard:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813127215R
    CPU: I guess i will go with is a amd athlon 64 3000. Wat do ya think? Do ya think i will be able to run quake 4?. Also i have 1gb of DDR 400.

    I can't see paying $60 for a refurbished board that's not that great to start with. Now here's a nice budget board.

    You'll be able to run Quake 4 as long as your video card can run it.

        its very good cpu runs very well and it can be oced alot.

          You need to make sure it can be used in a desktop motherboard. I don't think it can be, but do not take my word for it.

            Last time I checked the Mobile Athlon 64s were all socket 754, which means it's probably not worth getting one. However, some desktop boards will take a Mobile with no problems.
