Re: Are there any cases as nice as the antec p180 for a lesser price?
Newegg had the Antec nine hundred case on sale for $103(US) not including shipping the other day. I ordered one and thought it seemed like an O.K. case for the price. Although I'm not sure how it compares to the p180.
It received good reviews from a couple of the top P.C. magazines I've read.
Heres what I think about the 900 so far.
Pros; Great airflow for the price, quality fans with settings, Wire harness for sound and USB (case to mainboard) as well as only 3 wires for the mainboard controller, its also the first case I've ever had that came with a paperback manual but its so simple a caveman could do it.
Cons; No handle on case, fan controls should be accessible from outside the case, harddrive mounts are extra fiddling than needed to mount a drive.
Some think having the Power supply unit mounted at the bottom of the case a con but I have mixed thoughts about it.
Having the PSU at the bottom of the case might help cooling by moving it far away from the CPU and puts the power cord in a better spot for outlet access, but on the other hand makes for a long stretch for some of the PSU cables inside the case to reach their targets.
