    i don't understand why i win xp is aking me to re register my office 2000 after installing win xp in my new pc. why? if i don't it will only run 50 times. why!? any ways around it?

    Because it's a requirement of the code to try and cut down on piracy so there's no way around it. It will happen everytime you reinstall it. :smokin:

      If you haven't changed the hardware, the original key should still work OK.

        Actually, because Office 2000 was Microsoft's first attempt at Product Activation, many times the same key wouldn't work :(

        They (thankfully) fixed the problem with Office and Windows XP :thumb:
