I am very puzzled by this issue I've recently come across. When I use the F8 BIOS, the idle temps for my E6750 @ 3.6GHz are between 48-51C, and 66C under load. When I use the F9 BIOS, I idle at 38-42C, and 63C under load. Does the F9 BIOS contain any improvements anything CPU-related or is it displaying incorrect temperatures? I've flashed back and forth between F8 and F9 and I can confirm they make a big difference in CoreTemp, Everest and SpeedFan. What's going on!?

Re: F8 and F9 BIOS CPU Temperature Changes?
That is an excellent thought - probably the only thing I hadn't thought of. I recently disabled fan throttling in BIOS altogether so I can use the FanMate 2 controller that came with my Zalman CNPS9700 cooler. Thank you so much for the great reply! :)
