"Spark-ish" sound

Once in a while my speakers make a sound that sounds somewhat like a spark.
It comes from all 5 speakers, and only when i've got audio of some sort on.

It rarely occurs, but today it was really bad for a couple of minutes.
I had 3 installers running at the time, which i guess could affect it even though it shouldn't.

In any case, does anyone know what could cause such a thing, as well as a way to fix it?

What board are you using, and do you have the latest Sound drivers and BIOS installed? What PSU do you have as well? Full specs I suppose would be best. HAHA

Ya, MANY things can cause it including your GFX card and PSU and any drivers that may conflict with any of the above

I've only installed the drivers that came with the hardware, without checking for updates. Guess i can do a quick check.

Edit: The sound drivers don't seem to be out-dated.
Think i'll hold off the BIOS update until i know more.

"ADI AD2000B 8-channel High Definition Audio" is what the motherboard manual says.

that's actually most likely caused by electrical interference from nearby high current devices... if you have an air conditioner or dryer or even an incandescent bulb near any of the leads or the satellites themselves, when you turn the device on or off your speakers will emit a spark like sound... if you really want to get rid of this, wrapping the wires and satellites in brass foil or mesh will block the electromagnetic field which causes the sound

The computer and the monitor are the only things near the speakers, wires and the sockets they're plugged into.
Haven't gotten any sparks when turning it on/off, but i always turn it off with the controller before flipping the switch on the back of the subwoofer.

I'll have to pass on the wrapping idea since it sounds like a lot of work and i don't like very light-reflecting surfaces.
