Are these cards so rare? I can't seem to find one for sale anymore :(

No they are not rare at all... They just aren't selling them anymore. You should be able to find one or two on Ebay. What happened is SoundBlaster released the Audigy series cards which are better than the 5.1 series. The 5.1 series is still a very good alternative and comes highly recommended, its just no longer top of the line card.
