  • How can I overclock my system?

Hello, i have never made overclock before, i would want to try it now with my new rig :)

    My system is:
    Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P (bios F5)
    Corsair Dominator PC8500 (2x2Gb)
    Intel Core2Duo E8500
    Powercolor HD4870 1Gb PCS+
    Thermalright 120 Ultra Extreme
    Corsair TX-750W
    Samsung 750Gb 32Mb 7.200rpm
    Coolermaster CM690

How can i setup my bios to get a decent overclock with my system??? (i would like to get about 4Ghz for a 24/7 use of the pc)

    Thanks in advance :)

Re: How can I overclock my system?

U can use the same settings as i do, only lower your memory multiplier to 2.0 in stead of 2.4.
And your processor being of better quality than mine you should be able to reach it with lower voltage.

      thanks for the reply.

my only concern is that our motherboards are not the same...

Re: How can I overclock my system?

        If your motherboard doesn't like 500 fsb, try a lower fsb with a higer multiplier, like 470 x 8.5 or 444 x 9 or even 421 x 9.5
The highest fsb should give you the fastest system tho, at even processor speeds

is side ... advancetiming controll under the ram ... then you see chanell A ,B ... the 4 line at bottom .... then go into chanel A driving setting .... top one is where you can set it ..... also do that for B
