• Multiplier changing after EIST and Ce1 disabled

the multiplier for my processor speed keeps changing. I've found that its usually from some kind of throttling.

BUT my multiplier is never above 7X. it usually varies from 4-7X, even while running heavy games so:
7x 429
or
4x700 (is that even possible to have it running at 700Mhz?????????)

heres what i've done so far:

disabled EIST and CE1 in bios
changed power scheme to always on
changed all processor voltages from auto to recommended.
Turned off thermal monitor

The ONLY thing i can think of is when i set my multiplier it shows
min = 6 (which isn't true i've seen it drop to 4)
max = 9
and there is a box where i enter a number and it just changes the max. I can't change anything else. its annoying!

Pretty common mobo, maybe someone fixed this already??
I guess what i'll do is post some pics of my bios in a couple hours, unless you guys have other ideas!

Specs
Gigabyte GA-ep45-ds3l
Intel duo E8400 3.0 overclocked to 3.24
Antec neopower 650 watt
Sapphire Toxic HD 4850
4 gig of pny ddr2 800

I was about to ask what you was using. What Everest Version are you using, as it should be correct unless it is very old. I use it on my P45 without issues Version 4.60.1500

Or maybe you was just looking in the wrong place? If you are using a newer version what section was you looking in?

But yes newest CPU-z should always be good!
