Hi. Not sure if its been addressed, but this board seems to run cpu fans with 3 pins at 100 percent power. Has there been a fix to let ga-ep45-ds3r boards finally be compatible with 99% of CPU fans currently available?

All 3 pin fans (pc 12volts) are designed by default to run at maximum speed. Of course some are far better than others when being used on a linear or pwm type fan controller and can start and range up from as low as 4 volts. Some though won't start even at 8 volts, hence it's not usually an option to control a 3 pin Cpu fans speed via the motherboard - hardly reliable.
Fan headers now, allow connection of 3 or 4 pin fans. The 3 pin will usually run flat out, where the 4 pin can be controlled via it's speed control line.
