  • ud3p problem

    i got a new gigabyte ud3p and a q9400 processor. i ha ve no problem onde the computer powers on. but everyday, when i try to power it up, i have to power off the power supply until the computer power up and boot. before that, and i press the power button it turn on and then restarts itself without showing anything in about 2 seconds.
    i am u sing the G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

    i did not change any bios config. it is auto in everything regards the memory/cpu.

    any suggestions? thank you.

    Same problem here. Maybe it's related with the mobo? Maybe they're just bad , couldn't find a solution btw..

      "AUTO everything" might be causing your problem.

      Go into the bios and load optimized defaults.
      Exit the bios using F10 (save settings and exit).
      Re-enter the bios and veryify that the memory's DRAM voltage is between 2.0 and 2.1 volts.

      Search the forum for UD3P. Lsdmeasap has posted suggested default and overclock bios settings. WARNING: Some AUTO voltage settings will seriously overvolt your system.

      What bios version are you using? You might need to update to a newer bios version with your cpu.

        Can you describe in more detail with a timeline what's actually happening when at startup? Include the time between different events!
        This could be different things, and knowing what exactly is happening might help me help you :)
