The question is am I using Prime 95 correctly for stability test?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Bought :
Gigabyte UD3P
E8500 (E0)
Corsair XMS2 800 (2 x 2 gigs)
Xig S1283 (both CPU/cooler lapped)
Win XP pro 32

So I got the MB running and the goal was OC to 4 Ghz.
First OC ever. Set all voltages to normal.
Ran up to 400 fsb, ok, then 425; all at stock voltage, ok.
So I think, why not Prime 95 it all night, see if it blows?
<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:time Hour="12" Minute="0">noon</st1:time> the next day, P95 running for almost 15 hr, CPU temp never over 44 deg, perfect!
What gives, just spent 3 months reading forums on OC tweaking and all I had to do was change one number! Did I just luck out, OR, am I doing the stress test wrong?
Thanks
