  • GA-EP35C-DS3R Rev 2.1 + G.Skill Pi Black 8500 (2x2gb) - Frequency memory problem

    Hi, i have this pc:
    • E8400 Rev. C0 (without OC) + Noctua NH-U12P + NT-H1
    • G-Skill PI Black DDR2 PC2 8500 (1066 mhz)(2 x2gb) 5-5-5-15 , 2.1v
    • Gigabyte EP35C-DSR3 Rev. 2.1
When i go to oc the processor (3.6 ghz), i put de Cpu clock ratio = 9x, Cpu Host Frequency = 400 mhz, PCI Express Frequency = 100 mhz, but the System Memory Multipler (SPD), only I can put 2.50 = 1000 mhz or 3.00 = 1280 mhz, what is best?. Thanks

Not likely your modules will run at 1280, so 2.5X multi would be the best setting at 400x9. Alternately, you could try 450x8 with the 2.4X multi. Your memory will run at 1080, which may be doable.

Most likely you will need to weak with the FSB OverVoltage Control and the (G)MCH OverVoltage Control settings at 450x8 to get her stable. Good luck.
