  • Garbage collecting Indilinx firmware in Runcore SSDs?

There are news around the net about a new firmware version for Indilinx SSD controllers that cleans cells marked for deletion during drive idle time, thus preventing write performance degradation over time.

OCZ and Indilinx Collaborate On New SSD Garbage Collection Scheme - HotHardware

The firmware is targeted for OCZ SSDs, but I was wondering - since Runcore SSDs also use the Indilinx controller, perhaps the same firmware patch can be applied to them?

Any news/rumours of this update coming to Runcore drives as well (the Runcore IV Pro 2,5" 64GB model, which I have in my box, in particular ;))?

    Good question Paulie~
Runcore will release the new version firmware later.

I was hoping for a more precise answer, but thanks anyway, Chris :)

Is there anywhere I could register at the Runcore site to get notified about firmware updates?
