    EP45 UD3P BIOS Halt - HDMI

    I have installed a projector. Samsung SPD-300B. I am using a DVI to HDMI converter that came with my BFG GTX280 card. It all works very well, except during the POST. If the Projector is connected, the POST halts before anything appears on the screen, and all of the LEDs on the board are lit. Once I disconnect the projector, it POSTS and Boots no problem. I am unchecking the projector in the NVIDIA Control Panel multi display section before I turn my computer off.
    Any ideas why this is happening?

    Try Legacy USB Storage Detect Disabled in Integrated Peripherals BIOS page.

    If that does not work you may need to send in a report of this issue to the tech team so they can try to look into it, in the mean time you will need to not leave it connected

    Somethings are just not compatible and this may be one of them, they may be able to fix with a BIOS update, maybe not

      That is already disabled.

        Try enabled already then?

        If no luck with new BIOS then you will have to see what they say about if they can test this or not

          Thanks for the advice. It isn't that big a deal, not enough to cause me to flash to F11 from F9. Wait a minute. I don't see a F11 BIOS on the Gigabyte site, Where did this come from?

              Right, I was looking at the R instead of the P. Thanks, I have flashed the BIOS before. May experiment this weekend.

                  Partial Success. I moved the connector for the monitor to the other DVI output on the card (#1) and put the projector on the other (#2) System booted. Screen on the monitor was screwed up, as it set the default resolution for the projector, and the bottom of the screen was below the bottom of the monitor screen. Once I reset the resolution for the monitor (I use 1440 X 900) it was fine. It was rather obvious when it hit me today. The BIOS is looking for display #1 on POST. As the projector is off, it was not finding a display, and would not POST. I am prepared to bet that the new problem will reolve itself on another reboot.

                    Superb, sounds like you figured it all out then right?

                    Sorry I could not be of more help directly. I had no clue that would cause issues but the way you explain it now I bet you are 100% correct about it all.

                      No worries. I just appreciate the fact that there is a website that offers such great support for the product. The only other site I have found with such good support is OCZ. G Skill is an absolute joke. DFI Street used to be good, if you could tolerate Travis' BS. Thanks. By the way,gaming on a 90" screen rocks!
