    I remember reading about this, but I don't remember where. Is the noise a high-frequency "whine"?

    I'd try other (older/newer) videoc ard drivers, maybe they can fix it.

      No, it is not a high-frequency noise. It's difficult to describe... kind of a wheel turning, clic, clic, clic, etc. Of course, it's not the mouse wheel.

      I cannot change the driver because it's Windows 7 (64 bits) and there aren't many options.

        if you have c1e enabled in the bios under the cpu options try disabling it and see if it goes away.

            have you updated your lan drivers to the latest ones from gigabyte website? i updated mine and now its quiet

              I think I have fixed it. I have changed the PSU. That did the trick.
