Hi guys! Recently i started to use the S3 state and only discovered that its faulty and not working as it should be. All the time i used F11e bios and what would happend is that pc goes to sleep and awake fine, but the second time it goes sleep, its just shuts down completely. Now i went back to F10 bios and it made it worse, now when it tryes to go to sleep and as soon as he touch the ground (lights off, fans stops) he powers again and waking up. I used powercfg -lastawake to see whats waking it up but it even didn't counted for a sleep, so no info. Anyone having it working? Maybe i missed something in bios? I'm runing Vista x64 SP2.
No announcement yet.

Re: Gigabyte EP45-DS3R sleep issues
update your bios and don't use auto settings for the ram. its ok for cpu and mch but not ram.
instead use a 2.00 B or 2.00D multiplier and use the listed timings and voltage on the ram manufacturers spec sheet. that will probably get it stable. once you have it stable, you can adjust timings and go from there. Most likely your instability is coming from the board trying to run the ram at some screwy auto setting.
basically run the ram and the mch 1:1 to each other.

Re: Gigabyte EP45-DS3R sleep issues
Seems like i found what was the propblem, in advanced settings of onboard nic there was option "Shutdown on WON", thats why when it woke by LAN the next sleep was the shutdown.
Now everything seems working.
What you mean run ram and mch 1:1, maybe you mean fsb and mch?Last edited by VenuS; 02-10-2010, 04:16 PM.Gaming Rig
