my q9400 temps at idle are 30,30,40,38. they will never go any lower. when i run intel burn test, they all rise. i'm worried about cores 3 & 4. should i return the cpu?
Idle temps are not a concern at all, are they all the same or close while under load?
According to Intel, any temperature below 50c is unreliable and sould be considered "below 50c".
The DTSs are known to get stuck sometimes at low temps.
