Gigabyte p55a-ud4p & slow ATTO results?

These seem slow to me, but thought I would check with y'all first:

I get a max of about 108k read / 94k write on my barracuda drive

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s

My system drive is worse - 53k read / 56k write on my main drive:

HITACHI Deskstar T7K250 HDT722516DLA380 (0A31637) 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive

That drive is a few years old now, but should it have better performance?

I've reran the results in IDE and ACHI mode, but it's not much different. I'm running win7 64 rtm

mine are just over 100mb/sec so id say your seagate is about right but the hitachi seems slow

Are you running AHCI or IDE mode?
