  • GA-EP45-DQ6 reset loop, red LED S 4/5 - not new configuration

    Hello,

I'm using my PC in that configuration since last summer. Until now had no problems.

    Configuration:
    Gigabyte EP45-DQ6, C2Q Q9450 + Scythe Mugen, 2 x OCZ 2048MB 1066 MHz CL5.0 Reaper HPC, EVGA GeForce GTX 280 SSC, SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio
    HDD SATA: Maxtor DiamondMax STM3500320AS 500GB, WD Caviar SE16 WD3200KS 320GB, WD Caviar SE16 WD25000AAKS 250GB, DVD: LG GDR-H20N, DVD: Asus DRW-2014L1, card reader: Samsung SFD-321F/T6UB
    chase Sharkoon Rebel 9 + 2x Fander 120mm + Tagan 600W TG600-U33 + Lenovo L220x(T33HNEU) S-PVA

OK. Yesterday had problems with flash in firefox. Had to close firefox process, because it hung up. After restart screen blinked during w7 loading - looked like someone unplugged and plugged monitor, but then everything was allright. I turned it off. Today i have a reset loop. When it's off the RED LED S4/5 lights.

    Whole system never overclocked...

First thing to do would be to test your memory, use this memtest86+ latest version and run 5-10 full passes
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

      OK. I'll do it.

Yesterday had no reset loop. Everything seemed to be ok, but red acpi led S 4/5 still lights when computer is turned off.

S4/S5 may be due to incompatible BIOS with your memory, are you using the very latest BIOS?

Are you SURE it is both? I ask because S5 is normal to be on, as this is OFF State for ACPI power

If not try updating to the latest and see if that helps, PLEASE DO NOT USE @BIOS!!

Use Qflash or DOS, here is a guide

And here is the latest BIOSes
