• Corsair SSD F60 and BIOS Integrated Peripherals (GA-EP45-UD3R)

I am using Windows 7 64 bits and just installed a Corsair SSD F60. What are the best settings for the BIOS Integrated Peripherals:
ICH Sata Control Mode: IDE or AHCI? Not using RAID
SATA Port 0-3 Native Mode: Disabled or Enabled?
Onboard SATA/IDE Device: Disabled or Enabled?
Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode: IDE or AHCI?
Any other suggestion is welcome.

Re: Corsair SSD F60 and BIOS Integrated Peripherals (GA-EP45-UD3R)

if you have an ssd then its better performance if you use ahci,no need to re-install the os just do the reg tweak

ICH Sata Control Mode: IDE or AHCI set to ahci
Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode: IDE or AHCI set to ahci
Onboard SATA/IDE Device: Disabled or Enabled set to enabled

1.Exit all Windows-based programs.
2.Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
3.If you receive the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
4.Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesM sahci

5.In the right pane, right-click Start in the Name column, and then click Modify.
6.In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
7.On the File menu, click Exit to close Registry Editor.
After this you’ll have to restart your computer, go to BIOS and enable AHCI. When you log in to Windows again, you’ll notice the installation of drivers for AHCI. Another restart will be required to finish the driver installation

Connect the SSD to the First Intel Yellow SATAII port (SATAII_0)

Then use these settings:
ICH Sata Control Mode: AHCI (Will need the above tweak first if you already installed in IDE Mode)
SATA Port 0-3 Native Mode: Enabled

These are for the Gigabyte/J.Micron ports, and can be disabled if you are not using any Actual IDE Ribbon cable devices, or do not have anything attached to the Purple ports
Onboard SATA/IDE Device:
Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode:

Re: Corsair SSD F60 and BIOS Integrated Peripherals (GA-EP45-UD3R)

Thanks for both replies. I followed suggestions and tried everything possible. Nothing works.
I had to re-install Win7.
I have to state that Corsair F60 SSD performance is great and follows advertising (I went through Atto, AS SSD, HD Tune, CrystalDiskMark, CrystalMarkInfo, HD Tach).

Re: Corsair SSD F60 and BIOS Integrated Peripherals (GA-EP45-UD3R)

In AHCI mode, at 8192 KB transfer, total length 256MB, best figures: read 283758, write 267365. Quite good.
