  • When do you change these settings?

I just built my rig and I'm trying to learn all I can bout o/c'ing. I got the basics down and have my i7 930 stable at 21 by 165 and have had it higher around 175 but can't get it back there. How do you know when you need to start adding skews and messing with clock drives?

Oh yeah, one of the main problems I keep running into is when I save my BIOS changes Windows won't load. I get that changes in voltage and BIOS may not coincide with current H/W states or something close to that. My voltage is fine I think, what else could it be?

Please either fill out your signature or add your specs when asking such questions so we know what hardware you have.

That warning you mention means default settings are used, and the ones you see or just tried to use are not in use because they failed.
