  • Should I reset BIOS - not flash

Recently built a new rig. Had issues in the begining - ram voltages, hdd setup & audio panel wiring. now that I figured everything out over a week or so, im debating whether to reset the bios or not.

When I first got started, I didnt set the bios to load optimized configuration. I would assume that the mb has a slight learning curve. Im just concerned if it picked up some bad habits during my week of trial and error.

    came flashed with F11

    cpu-intel i5 760 lynnfield
    mb-GA-P55-UD3
    vga-evga GTX 460 superclocked(factory oc
    ram-g.skill ripjaws DDR3 dual channel 1600 2gig x 4 (8gigs)
    psu-OCZ fatality 550w
hdd- sata seagate barracuda 80/ sata seagate barracuda 160 (8500rpm??)

Re: Should I reset BIOS - not flash

On a new build I always clear CMOS and load optimized defaults, then go from there.
