I changed the key on an XP OS using the "XPProCorp-keyChanger.exe quite successfully.

Elsewhere in these forums another site is listed with a generator (ViewKeyXP.exe) which Recovers, Discovers and also tests an existing key. I tested the number I chose from the DOS screen which I had used and it came up with the message "This key is not valid!"

Interesting! I guess the true test will be when I try to install SP1.:confused:

Yes, something is amiss, the numbers I tested that were
generated by the XPProCorp-KeyChanger.exe tested as Valid,
using the XPKey.exe Generator Key Test Function.But out of the three keys that were Generated using this XPKey.exe Generator
only One of the three Keys that this program Generated passed
its own Key Test, the other two were invalid. :confused:
