  • GTX460 OC questions

Im running stock volts on my MSi GTX460 - managed to hit 845Mhz core without any tweaking. Id like to hit 900Mhz. Just curious how much voltage you guys used to get your increase *roughly*.

I looked online, but most guides just max out +.200v and max it out. Which isn't what Im looking to do. 900Mhz would more then satisfy me and save me money from dropping $$ on a 560 haha.

Do you think a +.100v increase might allow me to get 900Mhz successfully? I plan on leaving the memory at 2000x2 (4000Mhz).

    Advice? Thank you kindly.

p.s. What version of Afterburner are you using also? Mine currently doesnt even allow me to change voltage levels.. just clock speeds.

    Re: GTX460 OC questions

Afterburner unlocks voltage tuning in options, you have to find it, it's there.

Or use Inspector for voltage and clocks within OS and Nibitor to modify the voltage limit, and put final clocks in bios.

You were right yuu. I guess I missed that option in Afterburner:

      Graphics Card
      NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460

      Memory 1024 MB
      Core clock 900 MHz
      Memory clock 2000 MHz

      Driver nameNVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
      Driver version8.17.12.6089

      Detailed scores
      3DMark Score P3677

      Graphics score 3801
      Physics Score 3454
      Combined Score 3222

Thanks! I only had to bump up core voltage +50 past ref. ;)

        Re: GTX460 OC questions

Check out http://forums.tweaktown.com/video-ca...g-results.html for some Hawk (non-Talon) o/c results. This thread is in the Video Cards forum.
Definitely use Heaven 2.1 DX11 benchmark for stress/stability testing your o/c.
Feel free to post your questions/results in "my" thread.

***EDIT*** You can download the MSI AfterBurner User Manual (pdf).
