XP pro VPN into NT4 domain - browse problem

When VPNing into an NT4 domain the connection goes fine and I am able to use IP based applications (Notes), but cannot see any computers or shares. I have logon to network checked.
I am using an administrator account on both ends. This works fine from a Win98 client.
Any help would be appreciated.

make sure in WinXP that you have the box unchecked by the Use Default Route.
