    i have 4g (1x4) of pc3200 ddr 400 cl3 ecc ram. i cant find a definitive answer if the ecc ram can work in this mb. i have tried it and i havent gotten it to work. before i go carzy making it work, id like to know if that is possilbe at all.
    i currently have 1g (512x2) ddr 400 cl3 installed.

    using xp pro sp3.

    another question, when i look at the bios, memory size is correct, but speed isnt,

    displayed memory is ddr333, speed 166 mhz, not ddr 400d.
    is that right ?

    ty for any replies. (i know its an old mb)

      ty emily for the reply.
      i bought 4g ram from ebay. the ebay ad did not say it was ecc ram.
      of course when i installed the ram, it didnt work. then i read the label, it said ecc. i had a bad feeling that i made a big mistake.
      ty again
