Any boards still limiting power to CPU?

My last Asrock board (P55 extreme) was known for blowing caps so Asrock started limiting power to the CPU to 150 watts to prevent it in a BIOS revision (P2.0). My question is, how do I find out which boards are limited and which aren't? It really hinders OCing when you are power limited. I am looking at the ASRock 870 EXTREME3 and see a similar caps layout to the P55 board and it has me worried.
