    Hi need help with SLI

    Hi guys i am getting a second video card and wondering if you could tell me if the existing video card is compatible with the new one for SLI. I know the GTX 480's are being phased out but anyway.



    The MB is Gigabyte X58A-UD5

    should answer any questions you have.

    The only problem you might have with different brands is if either of the cards has "issues" with applying overclocked settings. I recall seeing several threads where some recent Gigabyte Radeon cards had a special bios that made overclocking difficult. I don't know if this applies to any of Gigabyte's or other manufacturers' Geforce cards. Your best bet is to read reviews that deal with each of your video cards.
