Ah the joys of early adoption :).
Neither intel or asmedia controller identifies my seagate external harddrive when using a esata port. It is seen fine through USB ports. When using intel controller an unidentified USB device appears in the USB controller section in Device Manager.
It was found fine by my old dfi nf4 motherboard. BTW this is Win7 Pro 64.
