  • Sleep mode problems

After my build running smoothly for months, suddenly I have the pc going to sleep after about 10 minutes with no mouse/keyboard input. This causes a few programs to hang. Why all of a sudden? No changes to anything except installing the F3 BIOS a good while back and WIN 7 reinstall a few weeks ago after a program got FUBAR. (No, still haven't got around to OC'ing yet) I rebooted to install optimized defaults, then rebooted twice more to make sure all settings where were they should be. Any ideas? Rig is in signature. Thanks!

    Re: Sleep mode problems

Sounds like a windows problem to me, especially since you mention doing a clean install recently. Sleep isn't invoked by the BIOS, so it has to be on the windows side of things.

By default windows is set to sleep after a certain time, 20 minutes I think, have you checked the sleep and advanced power settings?
