    Can't install AI Suite II

    Mainboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula / Thunderbolt (Full specs in the thread linked to further down)
    OS: Win7u SP1

    Both the version from your website and the one on the package-disk fail with "AI Suite II Install\Uninstall Wizard has stopped working"

    I'm also getting random bluescreens with error code "0x000000f4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFFA800846D910, 0xFFFFFA800846DBF0, 0xFFFFF80031D48B0)" . No idea what that means, but i suspect memory as i can't get it to run properly as described in this thread: http://forums.tweaktown.com/all-othe...-new-post.html

    However windows memory diagnostics comes up without errors.

    Looks like i fixed my memory issues - but I still can't install any version of the ASUS AI Suite - i don't understand why
    My advice - never visit a short-url, no matter who gives it to you. You can't trust any source at any time when you don't know your target

      Tried installing as administrator? Or compatibility set to Vista or xp? Installed and works fine on a p6x58d-e mb

        Running as adminstrator was first thing i tried, next was disabling defender etc. Haven't tried with compatible mode yet.

        But I've seen multiple threads for other motherboards that have the same problem under Win7 SP1. Seems to have to do with the SP1 update. There are a couple fixes around, but no official and none on a trusted host I would download it from.
        Hope ASUS addresses this issue soon, also lots of posts about it on their official forum

          I have this program on my Win 7 Pro (SP1) - no problems.

          If yours does not run, go to Task Mgr> Svcs.

          Scroll down to the two Asus Services I have in the pics and make sure they are not disabled

          .If they are, click Auto and Apply and then Start.

          The other one (which I can't seem to upload) is Asus HM Com.

            ASUS has had problems with the AI Suite installer in the past, as on my SaberT P67 board. They had a fix for the installation failure as a download on my board's info page. I never had the problem for some reason, but other did.

            I actually see five version of AI Suite II for Windows 7 64bit, on your board's download page

              From my experience you have lucked out not being able to install that software. I would not recommend using it. If I can ever get rid it of it with incapacitating my computer, I will be very happy.
