Below is my setup details:
i7-2600K
Asrock Z68 Itx
G.Skill Ripjaws-X 2x4GB 1600 CL9 9-9-9-24
Asus 6950 2GB Reference Card
Intel X25M-G2 160GB SSD
1.5 TB and 500GB Seagate HDD
Seasonic M12D 750W PSU
Lian Li PC-Q08B Itx Case
Antec Kuhler H20 620 Cooler
In the UEFI, i disabled thermal throttling, multiplier set to 42.
All 4 power options 255,255,1 second, 300 with speedstep enabled.
The problem is this - when i am running IBT or Prime95, the CPU multiplier will down throttle randomly to 16 and 34 even though the CPU temps are only 63 deg Celsius.
Anyone knows how to keep a constant multiplier of 42?
