  • Overclocking a q9550 with ep45-ud3l

    Motherboard - GA-EP45-UD3L (rev. 1.0) with Bios F9

    Cpu - q9550 c1

    Memory - 2gb x 2 Crucial Ballistix Tracer BL25664AR80A

power supply - pc power n cooling 750 watts

I was wondering if anyone has a similar setup like this an what is the bios setting for 3.8-4 ghz.
Gigabytes motherboard bios is kinda different from my previous motherboard an kinda hard to overclock with.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Problem may be there is only one ATX_12V 4pin connector.
Where you at now? Please post your BIOS settings using the template from this post.

What kind of CPU cooling you got?
Please put you system spec in your signature.

Problem may be there is only one ATX_12V 4pin connector.
Every PCP&C 750 watt psu that I'm aware of has:
      • one 4-pin ATX_12v connector ("M/B or CPU Power") and
      • one 8-pin EPS12V connector ("CPU Power").
      Just to be sure, is your memory DDR2 PC2-6400 / 4-4-4-12 / DDR2-800 / 2.0V ?

            Re: Overclocking a q9550 with ep45-ud3l

I thought that you were referring to the ATX_12v psu connector, not the ATX_12v motherboard socket.
I agree, the 4-pin ATX_12v motherboard socket might (or will) limit the OP's maximum stable overclock.

I assumed that his EP45-UD3L had the same 8-pin EPS12v motherboard socket as my EP45-UD3P (R.I.P).
            Never mind
