Asrock Z68 Pro3 / i5 2500k constant BSODs and won't boot

I received a set of components yesterday for my new build:


i5-2500k w/ stock cooler
Asrock Z68 Pro3
8GB G.Skill Ripjaws
Radeon 6850
Two Sata HDDs + One sata DVD
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

So far, I have been more or less completely unable to use this new computer. On first boot, the computer booted up fine. After I installed AVGand ATI Catalyst drivers I restarted to find that the computer reset itself just after the Microsoft logo comes together in the "Starting Windows" screen.

At that point, I did a system restore and returned the system back to its original state where it is somewhat stable but frequently freezes and BSODs with errors like IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and MEMORY_MANAGEMENT amongst others.


I've no idea why it's doing this. I have a HDD containing my old computer's Windows Vista 32 bit install and it boots and runs absolutely fine (Despite the huge number of mismatching drivers).

I've also updated the BIOS to V1.60 to no avail.

what dram bus voltage are you using nd what qpi/vtt or imc voltage?

I have a VERY similar issue with a similar build

Core i5 2500K running, stock speed and cooling
Asrock P67 Fatal1ty Pro
EVGA GTX 470
2x4Gb G.skill Ripjaws running at 1.5V
3xHDD and 1xSSD
Windows 7 64bit
Asrock P67 BIOS version 2.0 (latest)

I'm getting BSOD's mainly while I game. They are ONLY of the type DRIVER_IRQL_LESS..etc.

I have tried formatting and creating a fresh install of windows. I've updated to the latest Intel chipset from the Intel website, as well the Management Engine, LAN, onboard Audio, and USB 3.0 drivers from Asrock's website.
