Ok so i need help OC my new provided q6600, as i read on some forums this cpu is very good clocker, i wanted to OC it to about 3ghz, i have good options on my mobo becouse it has M.I.T and it is realy easy to OC but i don't wan't to mess up my ram or something else so i am asking for a little help, here is some info of my computer and it is stress testing in the time i snap this so you can see my temp is realy good on stock settings, btw i have solid cooler "Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro" so i am good for that.
Any good help would be appreciated. TNX

i clocked it on my own to 2.8 and put dram on M.I.T on standard becouse on default turbo, system was unstable now i have a question is this look right on DRAM?

You are using 2 different memory modules, that might be a bit of a problem, so try DDR-1066 first then DDR-1333.
                  For 3GHz try the following:

Try to run LinX with 3072MB or 2560MB, expected max GFlops 40+, if you don't get this with normal vcore try default+ up to 1.375.
                  Watch etmperature duting LinX.
Run Prime95 blend torture for 6-10 hours.

what is linX? i test my cpu with "prime95" overnight and watch temp with "real temp gt" is that enough, i didn't realise that i have one ram on 1333 and one on 1066 didn't look enough on that

btw thanks for everything i will try this settings now

LinX is a Libpack(intel math library) based program that stress the CPU to the max and it's output is a good indication if vcore is high enough. A 5 runs test is enough, do the main stress test with Prime95.
I think the "GT" is made for the six core CPUs just the Real Temp or CoreTemp will do.
Temps forPrime95 shoud not exceed 70C, LinX temperatures may be 10C or a bit more than Prime95 temps.

Of course if the manufacturer is different they are different though they clock and main timings match tRFC for example does not, one module is 160ns and the other 110ns.

This change when you change the multiplier, the left is the default if you have not changed it, and the right is what will be used.

Static tRead is under channel timings, the only value you need to change.

1.325-1.375 means a value between those numbers, whichever boots and stable.

Then the CPU does not support it, no worries.
