  • Extreme7 Gen3 PCI-E slot qns.

    Hi,

    Quick question.

    I have the Extreme 7 Gen 3.

I have a 3slot cooler Asus direct CU II
    And a PCI-E x1 soundcard.

My intention is to SLI it the Asus Direct CU II in the future with the same model again.

The manual says that i should use PCIE slot 1 & 4 when SLI'ing (and it seems like 3 slots x2 i still have enough space)

So this will leave me the last slot, PCIE slot 6 for the sound card.

    Can i do that?

Also if i did that, will the SLI GPU run in x16/x16/x1 or because of the sound card, now it become x16/x8/x8?

    Thanks.

    of course you can!
they will go at 16x16x because of nf200 the sound card will go on another buffer so your card could go at full speed!!
