  • GA-X58A-UD7 with Win 7 64bit and latest BIOS, but can't even boot with 3TB drive!

I am trying to format and install a new Seagate 3TB drive 7200.12, but whenever I put the drive in on any device or setting, I can't even boot - even though it is NOT listed as the boot drive. Any ideas?!?!? I'm quite sure the latest BIOS [the larger - special flashing one] is compatable with >2.2TB Thanks in advance.

NB - I know [or think I know] that it must have a GUID [GPT] partition table. I see there is special seagate software [I have] but it operates from Windows - and I can't get into windows, as I can't even boot when this unformatted drive is in the machine. HELP! Can't even boot to a DVD from which to format the disk!
